Pizza Hut has turned to Moneysupermarket Vouchers to promote its newest pizza a week ahead of its national launch.

The digital campaign aims to capitalise on a surge in demand for pizza delivery fuelled by more people being glued to the sofa during ITV’s hit talent show 'The X Factor'.

Pizza Hut's New York Meatball Pizza will be pushed at £9.99, a £5 discount and a week ahead of the national launch on 8 November.

Moneysupermarket Vouchers has reported a 20% rise in searches for takeaway pizza during 'X Factor' live shows on Saturday and Sunday nights since they began on 9 October.

Mags Dixon, head of marketing at Pizza Hut Delivery, said: "This is the first time we've offered an exclusive preview of one of our products."

Moneysupermarket Vouchers re-launched in August with a series of TV ads featuring comedian Omid Djalili, promoting local services in conjunction with money-off vouchers.

Also in August, Pizza Hut launched its "Hungry for Action" campaign tie-in to 'The A-Team' movie, produced by digital marketing agency Blue Barracuda, and promoted marketing director, Chris Tebben, to chief marketing officer.
