The brand is revamping its business into three teams: domestic markets, SME markets and industrial and commercial markets ahead of a potential sale by parent company RWE.
It is understood that Peake has been offered a new role at Npower.
Giuseppe Di Vita, managing director for customer markets, said that, as ‘a consequence of the new structure’, Peake will ‘evaluate alternatives’ within the company. He will help Di Vita manage the transition to the new structure.
In the interim, marketing will be overseen by Joanne Ragdale, formerly head of energy marketing at Npower.
Peake joined Npower in 2000 from retailer Comet. He previously held marketing roles with financial brands Abbey National and TSB and insurer Prospero Direct.
While at Npower, Peake oversaw several major sponsorship deals, including domestic Test match cricket and, more recently, title sponsorship of the Football League.
