The London 2012 Games sponsor has unveiled plans to launch a global ad campaign in the second quarter of 2012, showcasing the vehicle’s "trendsetting design" and "exclusive elegance".
TV and print ads will feature a total eclipse of the sun as a central theme, to emphasis the "breath-taking" qualities of the 6 Series Gran Coupé. The campaign will use a series taglines including, "Some things are worth waiting for," and, "Some sights you never forget."
Andreas-Christoph Hofmann, head of BMW brand communications, said: "The new BMW 6 Series Gran Coupé marks the beginning of a new chapter. It is BMW's first four-door coupé and combines uncompromising driving dynamics with exclusive elegance and breath-taking design."
The 6 Series Gran Coupé is set to be unveiled at next year’s Geneva International Motor Show in March.
