DOE employs shock tactics for new driving safety film

A speeding driver smashes over a hedge and crushes a group of children who are out on a field trip, in a graphic film that has been banned from TV before 9pm and is set to an acoustic version of Guns N' Roses' 'Sweet Child O' Mine'.

Northern Ireland’s Department of the Environment (DOE) is using the shock tactics to drive home the message that 28 children have died in accidents caused by speeding cars since 2000.

The film ends with a "shame on you" message and a chilling shot of an empty classroom.
