THE NEW DEALS: Deals done this week

Skincare brand Clearasil has signed a deal to launch a branded

virtual cinema on teen community site Habbo Hotel. The promotion is

designed to build awareness of Clearasil's 'Face of the Future' on-pack

promotion, which centres on a search for a would-be movie star and

offers teens the chance to win a screen test. Email newsletters will be

sent out by Habbo, and ads for the brand are also on its hotel

navigator.

BT and Marconi, the electronics and IT group, have struck a deal to

launch a public network of multimedia terminals in payphones. BT

Payphones will install 28,000 new terminals, to be built by Marconi,

which will offer full internet access, email and text messaging. The

scheme will begin in April 2002, with 3,000 terminals to be in place

within a year.

E-delivery company iForce has struck a deal with personal transport firm

Urban Mobility to manage the e-fulfilment for its site

(www.urbanmobility.co.uk), which sells products such as electric

scooters and cycles. Urban Mobility will also use iForce's SmaRT order

processing and fulfilment platform for its new b2b portal, due to launch

early next year.

SoftwareFirst, the games e-commerce site, has signed an agreement with

Freedomland Internet TV to sell computer games, accessories and DVDs on

its open access internet TV platform. The deal follows SoftwareFirst's

partnership with ITVDigital, struck in September.

Email marketing company SelectYourMail has partnered with Parkers.co.uk,

the online arm of the car price guide. As a result of the deal, visitors

to Parkers.co.uk will be able to subscribe to SelectYourMail's opt-in

email service, which provides members with offers and discounts from a

variety of products and services.

BT has signed a five-figure deal with cricket site CricInfo to run an

online marketing campaign targeting Britain's Asian communities.

Designed by online media agency i-level, a microsite

(www.btindian11.cricinfo.com) will encourage users to vote for their All

Time Indian XI team using surveys, chat, and competitions. An All Time

Pakistani XI promotion will run on CricInfo in January, culminating in a

full All Time Asian XI campaign in March.
