For a month from 19 July, Garnier's Ambre Solaire sun care range will be the exclusive advertiser on the network (www.
myvillage.com), which offers local area guides, listings, events and gossip on regions across Britain.
It is the first time the MyVillage network has offered an exclusive presence to an advertiser.
Dedicated Ambre Solaire-branded editorial content will run within channels including healthcare, fashion and lifestyle, children and celebrities.
"Our offering to the advertising community does not rely on strategic placement of banners, pop-ups, pop-unders or the like, but in the creation of rich and relevant content placed in front of the relevant demographic groups at the right time, said Roifield Brown, managing director of MyVillage.
Every page on the MyVillage network site will carry Ambre Solaire branding, including visuals, logos and links to an Ambre Solaire microsite (www.sun-safety.co.uk). The microsite carries information about sun care, plus competitions.
MyVillage editorial staff will create content which aims to drive traffic to the microsite.
A spokeswoman at Garnier said: "We are delighted to be working with MyVillage on this pioneering approach to online media. We're confident that the Ambre Solaire brand will benefit from this sole partnership."
