Virgin Trains aims to show it is breeding new life into the train industry with a £7.5m campaign breaking on tomorrow (Thursday) to promote its 'Pendolino' high-speed tilting trains. A 60-second TV ad opens with a ticket inspector walking through a train as a tannoy asks whether there is a doctor on board. A midwife and two doctors appear and the camera switches to a woman about to give birth. As she screams, the camera goes into her mouth; the image of this morphs into a tunnel. Back in the train carriage, cheering and clinking champagne glasses accompany the on-board electronic display showing 'It's a boy'. The strapline is 'A New Beginning'.
