What is your greatest work achievement?
The relaunch of the Santa Carolina wine brand from Chile covering packaging, positioning and the wine itself, to create a much stronger family of wines. It has aided recognition and recall of the brand.
What would be your dream brand to work on and why?
Jimmy Choo. I have a serious shoe fetish.
What would you do if you were not in marketing?
I would be a child psychologist, as I find the rate at which children develop absolutely fascinating.
Which is the best agency that you have worked with?
Borkowski PR, for its innovative and creative ideas.
What is the best part of your job?
Understanding what makes consumers tick and matching brand strengths to tap into those motivations.
What is the worst part of your job?
Clearing the wine spittoons after a tasting. Yuck.
What has been your most embarrassing mistake?
Spilling wine over a very important buyer's hand when I poured a sample for them to taste.
What has been your best work-related trip?
Going to Chile to meet the people at the winery and then being able to stay on to visit my family for a few weeks.
Who is the business person you most admire and why?
I have the most respect for Jancis Robinson, who created the wine trade bible, and still manages to remain wonderfully charming and appreciative. Or Tom Ford, who manages to turn everything he touches into gold.
