People moves: Wallpaper

Chris Ware has been hired as publisher of IPC Media style magazine Wallpaper. He joins from PHD Media and takes up the role in June, reporting to publishing director Richard Johnstone. Ware will take charge of Wallpaper's group ad and commercial teams, both in the London office and the eight international offices.

As well as overseeing the main magazine, Ware will be responsible for bi-annual travel title Navigator and the forthcoming Wallpaper website.

At PHD, Ware oversaw a variety of brands, including Harrods, Heal's, Sainsbury's and The Economist. He replaces Christopher Lock-wood, who left at the end of the last year to pursue his own projects.
