Marketing Mix: Name that brand

This brand, which launched in 1969, positions itself as a speedy service, with a 1989 TV execution showing its vans racing through the air, passing famous landmarks as well as fighter jets. The song Ain't No Mountain High Enough has also been used in its advertising.

In 2002 it was title sponsor of Jordan's Formula One team and in 2003 it spent £89m on a brand awareness campaign. The brand has more wholly owned offices in more countries than American Express, Coca-Cola or the United Nations. Last year, the brand was named as one of the UK's strongest by the Superbrands panel.
