Careers: Salary Snapshot - Views on working conditions

Perhaps unsurprisingly, top marketers experience greater job satisfaction than those lower down the career ladder. More than three-quarters of marketing directors rate their job satisfaction as excellent or good, just 2% say poor and none rate it as bad.

By contrast, marketing managers are less satisfied. While just over half claim good or excellent job satisfaction, nearly a third say it is fair and 15% claim their satisfaction levels are poor or bad. This compares with 3% of marketing officers who are dissatisfied.

The majority of marketers rate their job satisfaction as either good or fair. Just under half of marketers across all ranks (47%) believe they have a good level of job satisfaction.
