Melanie has to get her head around marketing a host of house-related products and services from conservatories to roof cleaning and driveway design, as Brits fight to keep up with the Joneses. 'I can hold my own in the local pub when it comes to the intricacies of DIY,' she says.
There is some glamour involved, though, such as taking the sales force to Miami on incentive trips.
