The concept of the Blue Flag Beach site is taken from the flag system used to denote clean beaches, linking Clearasil's message of "delivering clear, healthy skin" with a "fresh, healthy environment" to appeal to its youth market.
The website, which features quizzes, giveaways and personalised screensavers, aims to benefit from word of mouth among schoolchildren.
Competitions on the site build to a "play-off final" at the end of each month, in which leaders compete for prizes, encouraging them to keep logging on and increase interaction with Clearasil.
A spokesman for Clearasil said the work, by digital agency Linney Design, was ideal for its "technological-savvy target group".
