Teague, who was made redundant after Allders went into administration earlier this year, has been working on a consultancy basis for McArthur Glen. He takes on the new role of UK marketing director and group visual director this month.
His main responsibility will be to ensure that the firm - which has seven centres and 650 outlets in the UK and several centres in France, Italy and Austria - has a consistent brand strategy.
In the UK, it has appointed Fox Kalomaski to create a Christmas campaign comprising TV, radio and press advertising.
The activity will focus on its value proposition and highlight the breadth of its offer. It will kick off in early November.
McArthur Glen shopping centres house outlets that sell designer clothing at a discount of up to 50 %.
