The Daily Telegraph has moved its pounds 8m media account from The
Media Factor to MindShare, WPP’s new media arm, without a formal
The move represents MindShare’s first new business win since it was
unveiled in September.
The decision unites the media with the creative account, which has been
handled by sister WPP agency J Walter Thompson since 1994.
Jeremy Deedes, managing director of Telegraph Newspapers, said:
’Everything was coming up for renewal anyway. There are certain
advantages from the synergy of both parts of the business coming under
the WPP umbrella.’
The Daily Telegraph last reviewed its media account in March 1996, at
which time JWT pitched against the incumbent John Ayling and Associates,
The Media Factor and Mediapolis.
