Software giant Novell has restructured its marketing operations across
Europe, as it prepares to sell a large chunk of its business and change
its marketing message.
Novell, which is the third largest software firm in the world, has set
up a new pan-European marketing division which will be headed by Charles
Callis as vice-president of marketing for Europe, Middle East and
David Godwin, former country manager for Novell UK, will also move to
the new division as solutions marketing director for Novell Europe. Both
are based in the UK.
The new European division follows a change in strategic direction from
Novell. Two months ago it sold UnixWare and last month announced it
would sell a series of software applications under its WordPerfect
