Marketing Mix: The Mix Christmas winners [BB]

As more than a few of you noticed, our Christmas quiz ran in Mix on December 19 and, as promised, we reveal the answers and the winners here.

As more than a few of you noticed, our Christmas quiz ran in Mix on

December 19 and, as promised, we reveal the answers and the winners

here.

First out of the ’100% correct pile’ was Steve Cooke, marketing director

of City Financial Managers, with runner-up prizes going to Hamish

Archibald, Faith Legh from the Legh Consultancy, Steve Davis and Mark

Best from Era, Karen Sells from Cordiant, A Mayne and Chris Brown.

In case you’re still puzzling, the answers were: 1. Tom Rubython, Sunday

Business; 2. Philip Ley; 3. The Telegraph and Express Newspapers; 4

Castlemaine XXXX; 5. Knight Leach Delaney; 6. ’Tickle it you wrigglers’,

Foster’s; 7. Loser: JWT, winner: FCB; 8. Tizer; 9a. Pizza Hut; 9b. Honey

Monster; 9c. Linford Christie; 9d. Nicholas Lyndhurst; 9e. Reebok; 9f.

Kate Moss/Elvis, John McCarthy/Yuri Gagarin; 10. Matti Alderson, Dawn

French, Jennifer Laing.

Those who put Virgin Vodka instead of Tizer were, after considerable

internal debate, put into the hat as Virgin did go blue towards the end

of the year. And Martin Dale, media manager at MediaCom, gets a special

prize for giving Mix a much-needed post-Christmas laugh by confusing

Matti Alderson with Esther Rantzen. Sorry, Matti - That’s Life.
