The Prince’s Trust is seeking sponsors for an initiative within its
youth training programme, The Prince’s Trust Volunteers (PTV).
The scheme, for the long-term unemployed, will use football coaches and
players to encourage young people back to work.
A new sponsorship package launches in January, following deals with all
72 clubs in the Premier and Nationwide football leagues.
Associated partners will have access to all of the clubs’ marketing
communications, including databases for direct-mail campaigns, football
programmes, merchandise, posters, perimeter boards and web sites.
Sponsors will not advertise their own products directly but will have
their branding placed on the scheme’s literature and associated local
The package follows a pilot scheme with seven clubs in the Premiership,
arranged earlier this year by communications agency, purple;patch.
PTV been operating nationally for the past eight years and claims to
help around 70% of trainees back into work.
