Mike Soutar, managing director of London radio station Kiss 100,
has been moved to the job of creative director for Kiss’s parent company
Emap Radio has started to look for a replacement for Soutar, and is
considering people from outside Emap as well as internal candidates.
Managing director of Emap Radio, Dee Ford, will assume responsibility in
Soutar, a previous editor of Emap’s men’s magazine FHM, has been the
managing director of Kiss since March 1987.
Soutar will continue to report to Ford in his new position. Emap says it
is part of the company’s strategy to develop new programming ideas
across the radio brands. However, Soutar will not take over control of
any programming; that will remain the responsibility of programming
