Arbor Software has appointed Chris Hill as marketing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Based at Reading, Hill joins from Informix, where he was sales and marketing manager, MEA.

Cuisine Foodservice’s group product manager, Gregory Boyle, has moved to

Campbell’s Frozen Foods, where he will develop and strengthen the food-

service business for Campbell’s extensive range of frozen foods.

David Lyons has joined NEC (UK) as paging manager responsible for sales

of paging products within the UK and Eastern Europe, along with Verity

Hills as marketing executive responsible for the marketing of cellular

phones and pages and Shaun Wyman as senior sales manager, whose

responsibilities include strategy and sales.

Executive Information Research Ltd has recruited VIA Countryside’s David

Gilbert to the new position of sales manager, where his role will be to

broaden the client base to the general business-to-business sector.

Simon Drummond has joined Swindon-based Securicor Datatrak as product

manager. Moving from Automated Security Holdings, Drummond’s principal

responsibilities will include the management of all hardware and

software products.

BET Catering Services (BETCS) has made Lynette Eaborn its new marketing

director responsible for the firm’s expansion into new markets,

improving its image, as well as developing its internal and external


Event management and training firm, LMG International has appointed Alex

Cole as new business development manager to work with its corporate

clients to broaden their development with the firm

With a brief to develop new business, particularly targeting

telecommunications, retail and FMCG companies, Co-Cam has recruited

Steven Wainwright from Datapoint as a major account manager within its

sales force.

Glasgow-based Scottish Friendly Assurance has appointed Strathclyde

University graduate, Colin Robertson as direct marketing assistant.

Headed by marketing manager Alex Rodrigues, Ericsson Limited has

appointed Vijay Anand as promotions manager and Vicky Leigh as marketing

assistant. Based at the Guildford headquarters, Anand will be

responsible for both direct marketing and sales promotion to dealers and

consumers, while Leigh will be handling point-of-sale material, liaising

with the dealers support team and co-ordinating presentations and

exhibition activity.

Christopher Adams will take over the role of chairman and chief

executive of P&H McLane from John Chedzoy, who is retiring. Adams has

been a key member of the board’s strategic planning and management.

Phillip Hudson, deputy chairman and managing director; Sir Donald

Gosling, President; Paul Hallowes and Roy Hunting are also retiring.

The Ritz London has promoted Tom O’Connell to general manager from

executive assistant manager

Peter Beverley becomes managing director of Teledata Limited assuming

responsibility for the growth of the managed services business with

clients including Microsoft, the DVLA and the US Embassy. Joining him

will be Fiona McNab as client development manager from The Sales

Consultancy; Sue King from TechGnosis as business development executive,

and Andy Crank moves from Churchill Insurance to become call centre

manager in London

Jane Finden has been appointed to the board of the Capital Radio-owned

The Ocean Radio Group as sales director. Finden joined the sales team

from Southern Newspapers and has been instrumental in compiling

comprehensive staff training manuals as well as making a significant

improvement to the firm’s sales policies

Dino Joannides has been recruited to head up Mitel’s new client server

telecom division in Europe. As director, business development, Europe,

Joannides aims to form alliances with European-based computer

manufacturers to create ‘whole product’ CT servers

Exhibition design agency Blue Square Design has appointed Greg Blackband

account manager responsible for developing new business and working to

assist the existing client base with on-going projects; joining the firm

are Sarah Newton, marketing assistant whose duties will include client

liaison, office management and supporting team projects and Andrew Riley

design team assistant.

Former marketing director for Hasbro, Ian Hassard has moved to Copywrite

as commercial director, where his main focus will be on European

marketing and business development.

Jon Bold, former marketing co-ordinator at Greenalls’ Premier House, has

been made marketing operations manager for Greenalls Inns Taverns

division. He will be helping to develop the Taverns division and also

concentrating on global marketing initiatives.

Amanda Pitt has been promoted to sales development manager from senior

sales executive at National Magazine’s Company magazine.

Edward Briscoe Design has appointed David Spencer as its new creative

director. He was previously of King & Associates, Loeny International

and the David Spencer Design Partnership.

CMT, the consumer information and direct-marketing specialist, has

appointed Mark Johnson to the post of divisional sales director, to step

up the marketing of its surveys and lifestyle research. He joins from

Piermont International, where he was divisional managing director.

Gillian Stacey has been appointed marketing manager at Somerset-based

Aerosols International. She will be responsible for generating new

business opportunities. Anna Britton has been appointed national account

manager, she joins from Cebal Printal UK.

Nora Flannery has been appointed consumer marketing manager for the

National Union of Students Services. NUSS arranges student promotions

for many national organisations, including BT, Barclaycard, Daily

Telegraph and Britvic.
