The Times is revamping its Saturday edition with the launch of a
52-page arts, entertainment and listings magazine called Metro, to
replace The Directory.
TV listings will go in a revived Vision, the Saturday edition’s former
listings magazine. Both titles launch this Saturday.
Further changes are likely in coming weeks and a TV ad campaign is
planned later this month.
George Brock, managing editor of the Saturday Times, said: ’The Saturday
newspaper market is an important circulation battleground. We saw an
opportunity because of huge growth to take it further.’
