The decision follows the success of a viral campaign run by Lenovo. The activity, by Meme London, featured spoof video of a laboratory where technological developments, such as a laptop that protects itself from coffee spills, were supposedly being tested.
It received almost 5m views, convincing the company that web marketing is a viable channel. Lenovo now intends to build customer relationships by using online methods such as blogging.
