MARKETING MIX: Brand manager of the week

Your greatest work achievement to date?

Your greatest work achievement to date?

Being part of the team which launched Persil Tablets in the UK.

Your dream brand to work on?

The idea of fine fragrance appeals: lots of emotion and no side-by-side

demos, but I’d probably get bored and yearn for something with great

product sampling such as Mustique.

What would you do if you were not in marketing?

I’d like to think I’d be a wildlife photographer.

The best agency you have ever worked with?

Our team at Initiative Media gets the prize for always being calm.

The worst part of your job?

People I meet socially wanting to talk about which product washes

whitest.

Your most embarrassing mistake?

Spotting our new chairman coming out of the hotel room next to mine (he

politely told me he had no idea who I was), and then singing ’Happy

Birthday, Amanda’ loudly outside his room at 5am.

Your best work-related trip?

A trip down the Thames on a small boat trying to have a meeting while

the papers kept getting blown overboard.

The business person you admire most?

Jennifer Price, marketing maven at Yahoo! She’s one of the people behind

its incredible growth.
