A new Australian themed bar and restaurant chain called Ned Kelly’s is
planning a national roll-out across the UK, to take on the likes of
Following the success of a pilot site for the steak and barbeque
restaurant in Nottingham, the management has plans for 80 new outlets
over the next three years.
Bean MC has been appointed as Ned Kelly’s first UK agency creating a
style for the ‘authentic Australian’ brand to compete with other high-
street restaurants such as Pizza Hut.
The firm, founded in 1993, is managed by a consortium of businessmen,
including Keith Gill, former marketing director of Derwent Valley Foods,
and ex-Allied Domecq manager, Simon Wiles.
Branded outlets are to open in Manchester and Berkhamsted in January,
with restaurants in Bristol, Birmingham and Leeds in the pipeline for
