The work, which was created by Claydon Heeley and breaks later this month, uses the line 'Don't underestimate asthma, it's a fatal mistake'.
The ad flags up the fact that one person dies from an asthma attack every six hours, but nine out of 10 of these fatal attacks are preventable. The work will run on satellite channels including LivingTV and Trouble.
Asthma UK began its first DRTV campaign in March in a bid to reduce deaths among children by alerting parents to the severity of the condition. There are more than 5m asthma sufferers in the UK, of whom more than 1m are children.
