According to Thinkbox chief executive Tess Alps, its 'The Third Age of Television' activity is intended to clear up marketers' confusion over what constitutes TV and broaden understanding of new technologies.
'People thought new technology wouldn't provide new opportunities for brands, but deals such as Yell sponsoring Five's CSI downloads show the potential, ' she said.
An event in February - Thinkbox Experience 07 - will tackle the opportunities offered by new technology. It will be the body's first advertiser event since last summer.
The event comes at a vital time for the TV industry, which is facing further revenue losses as a result of Ofcom's proposals to curb the advertising of foods high in fat, salt or sugar to under-16s.
