The GGT group has confirmed that it is to buy the BDDP network. The move
will almost double GGT’s UK revenue, boost its European network and put
it on Procter & Gamble’s roster.
While GGT’s international expansion has been focused on the US, the
Paris-based BDDP has eight advertising or below-the- line agencies
across Europe. GGT chairman Mike Greenlees is keen to expand across the
continent, having acquired GGK’s network in 1993.
The deal, expected to be finalised early next year, gives GGT in the UK
PR shops Lynne Franks PR and Financial Dynamics, plus sales promotion
agency Tequila. BDDP owns a 51% share in ad agency BST-BDDP.
