Carlsberg-Tetley is supporting its Tetley’s Bitter brand with a
pounds 5m television campaign from May 2. The ad, created by Saatchi &
Saatchi, is the second wave of Tetley’s ’Smoothly does it’ campaign.
It features a man on a beach looking forward to a smooth pint at a
seaside bar but having to hurdle sunbathers to get there. He uses a wet
dog to clear the way to the bar before enjoying his drink. Things get
even better when a beautiful woman walks over to claim the dog. The
commercial appears on ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and satellite channels
and runs until the end of July.
