Littlewoods is talking to five advertising agencies about launching
a pounds 4m campaign for Index Home Shopping and Index Extra.
Littlewoods is understood to have approached a number of top London
agencies and several regional shops for strategic advice as well as
advertising solutions. It will be the first campaign to cover both the
home shopping and retail businesses.
Both sides of the Index brand have been moving closer together and
observers believe the home shopping business’s 500,000-strong customer
base is now large enough to justify the push.
Sources say that there will be no Littlewoods branding as the retailer
is keen to keep Index’s identity separate from its own, which is seen as
