Lace, who joins the Camden-based company this week, has kept a low profile since his exit from Lowe last year. He resigned from the agency in May following an investigation over alleged conflicts of interest during his tenure at the IPG-owned company, and has been working as a consultant to a number of companies since.
Intelligent Marketing was founded three years ago by its managing director Tricia Weener, and has an annual turnover of around £2.5m. It clients include Diageo, Tchibo, and HSBC. Last year it was responsible for a tie between Woolworths and The Tussauds Group that encouraged the store's customers to spend more to gain money-off vouchers for Tussauds attractions.
