Jordan hires two agencies to boost consumer brand

Jordan, the UK-based F1 team, has appointed two marketing agencies to build its consumer brand.

The Grand Prix team has brought in Branded to handle the brand

positioning and general marketing of the Jordan brand outside the

sport.



English & Pockett will work on the design of a series of products in the

Jordan range.



The move follows the appointment of Bill Sweeney as general manager of

brand development (Marketing, September 30).



Sweeney said: ’We have appointed Branded and English & Pockett as our

partners in the development of Jordan as a global consumer brand. We

were impressed by their insights into the personality of our

organisation.’



Sweeney, a former Reebok, Mars and Unilever marketer, said that Jordan

and the two agencies will work on a series of launches. The first will

be a range of clothing followed by ’innovative products’, based on

Jordan technology.
