WPP-owned below-the-line agency Promotional Campaigns Group (PCG)
has poached Stuart Verney, creative director of KLP Euro RSCG, to head
its creative department.
Verney, who will take up his post in the new year, will oversee
campaigns for clients including American Express, B&Q, Carlsberg Tetley,
IBM, British Gas Services and Virgin Interactive.
He replaces Duncan Taylor, who left in March. Creative group head Brian
Stewart has been caretaking the role.
’We have spent a long time looking for the right candidate to ensure we
offer a challenging and effective creative product,’ said Hugh Taylor,
chief executive of PCG.
At KLP, Verney worked across a broad range of blue-chip clients,
including Canon, Abbey National, Orange, Tesco, Peugeot and The
’Creatively, PCG is offering a clean sheet, which is what every creative
wants,’ said Verney.
