The DMA has warned that a court ruling on the use of the electoral
roll sets a worrying precedent.

He claimed the council breached his rights under the Data Protection Act
(DPA) and the Human Rights Act 1998 by refusing to say his details would
not be given to third parties without his consent.
The DMA believes the court's decision fails to take into account the
safeguards provided by the DPA and MPS.
