Freedom Food, the RSPCA-monitored farm welfare scheme, launches its
first ever advertising campaign next week to encourage people to extend
the principle of buying free range eggs to other animals. The pounds 2m
campaign, through Crazy Horse, breaks on Monday and explains that while
many consumers buy free range eggs because they know hens enjoy a better
life, they should extend this to meat purchases. TV ads, shown primarily
around Channel 4’s ’Pet Rescue’ programme, will be supported by inserts
and door drops.
The campaign breaks initially in the South, with a national campaign
planned for early next year.
