Nuclear energy utility npower this week kicks of the latest stage of its brand-building push with a humorous pounds 4m TV and press campaign.
In 'Trophy', a football club chairman is involved in complex transfer negotiations with a new player when he is interrupted by a barman at the club. His look of annoyance changes to a grin as the barman presents him with an npower bill. The chairman then grabs the bill and, after shifting a cup to one side, mounts it in the club's trophy cabinet. The ad ends with the line that npower is 'constantly working for lower bills'. The campaign was created by TBWA London, with media planning and buying by Manning Gottlieb Media.
