She joins Musgrave after 11 years with the Co-Operative Group as food store general manager and most recently director of brand marketing. Starting 14 January Tomlinson will assume responsibility for the management and development of the Musgrave Retail Partners Marketing Department. She replaces Ross Halliday, who has been acting marketing director for 10 months.
Musgrave provides marketing, purchasing, store development, IT and supply chain support to independent retailers.
In June, Musgrave Retail Partners GB hired Phil Smith, the former commercial chief of Camelot, as managing director.
Musgrave GB is part of the Musgrave Group, which partners with independent entrepreneurial food retailers in the UK, Ireland and Spain. Musgrave acquired the Budgens chain in 2002 and the Londis franchise in 2004.
