DIRECT: Havas combines ehsrealtime with Brann Agency UK

Havas Advertising Group has confirmed that it is to merge

ehsrealtime and Brann Agency UK in a move that will create Europe's

largest direct marketing agency.

The new shop, which will be called EHS Brann, will employ nearly 400

staff and have a combined turnover of more than £70m.

Clients of the merged agency will include Guinness, Pizza Hut,

Microsoft, Alliance & Leicester, Tesco, British Gas and Cadbury.

EHS Brann will be chaired by Terry Hunt, chairman of ehsrealtime, while

Brann managing director Mike Horne will become managing director. The

merger will be completed in the new year.

Hunt described the merger with Brann Agency UK as "a massive vote of

confidence in customer relationship marketing as the discipline of the

future".

He added that the fusion of Brann's international presence and ehs'

creative, planning and digital skills would establish a "formidable

service base for our clients with global reach through the Brann

Worldwide network".

Ehsrealtime managing director Louise Wall is to reduce her commitments

at the agency following the completion of the merger.

Wall, who oversaw the merger last year between Evans Hunt Scott and

Realtime Studio, will take on the new role of communications director

with responsibility for people development across the newly formed EHS

Brann group.

As well as her communications role, Wall will also spend time completing

her MBA.
