BT wireless portal Genie scooped top prize at Marketing's
Connections Awards for its online and WAP campaign for reality series
The awards, now in their second year, recognise excellence in technology
and customer communications for digital marketing. BT's WAP campaign won
because the judges decided it successfully fulfilled its brief to change
unfavourable consumer perceptions of WAP.
The campaign, which also took the category prize for mobile phones, was
created by Agency Republic and Agency.com. The best use of telemarketing
category also went to C4's Big Brother and Audiocall.
Other brands to pick up awards include Audi UK, Nestle, Honda Motor
Europe and DaimlerChrysler.
Agency Republic has picked up the digital marketing account for O2, the
demerged BT Wireless brand.
