The Pentland Group has poached Jordan Grand Prix brand chief Bill
Sweeney to be worldwide president for its Ellesse brand.
Sweeney, who leaves Jordan this week, will join Pentland on January 2,
reporting to the group's chief executive Andy Rubin. He replaces Eddie
Bush, who has retired.
Sweeney said it was too early to say whether there would be another
review of advertising arrangements following a pitch earlier this

His role at Jordan has been filled by Mike Hall-Taylor, the former
Benson & Hedges marketer, who joined the F1 team in 1999.
While at Jordan, Sweeney was involved in the launch of its energy drink,
EJ-10. Jordan is looking for a brand manager to oversee the product.
