Dawe will oversee the strategy for brands including Cartoon Network, CN Too, Cartoonito, Turner Classic Movies, Boomerang, Adult Swim and Nuts TV.
He joins Turner after two years at Heart FM, which he left late last year following its acquisition by Global Radio.
Before this, Dawe was director of marketing at Sky for five years. He has also worked at Channel 4.
At Turner Dawe will report to Dee Forbes, senior vice-president and general manager of Turner Broadcasting UK and Ireland.
