Lloyds TSB to retain Halifax and Bank of Scotland brands

Although the company is yet to announce plans for the full portfolio of brands it would acquire with HBOS, including Birmingham Midshires and Clerical Medical, the Lloyds TSB and Halifax brands will remain active in England and Wales,

Bank of Scotland will operate in the retail and corporate banking spaces north of the border, although a decision is yet to be taken on whether the Bank of Scotland Corporate brand will be used outside of Scotland.

The combined companies will come under the new name of Lloyds Banking Group.
