Red Sky launches natural garden website

LONDON - Walkers' premium crisp brand Red Sky has launched a website with a "growing" homepage featuring a real garden situated on top of a London roof.

The garden on Redskysnacks.co.uk features real plants that are being used as bookmarks for navigating the site.

Users can monitor life in the garden via webcam. The garden contains 41 varieties of plants as well as vegetables such as basil, potatoes and red chilli peppers.

Redskysnacks.co.uk will also follow the activities of resident gardener Anise Paul as she nurtures the natural website garden, which will also play host to Stickleback fish in a running stream.

The garden theme of the website ties in with the brand's partnership with rainforest charity Cool Earth, which protects endangered rainforests to combat global warming.

Roger Edmonds, senior brand manager of Red Sky, said: "Red Sky is a brand wedded in nature: -- we use 100% natural ingredients and we give back to nature through our partnership with Cool Earth.

"Therefore, it was natural to base our website in nature too."

Red Sky crisps launched last month in four flavours -- Anglesey Sea Salt, West Country Bacon & Cream Cheese, Sour Cream & Green Herbs, and Roasted Red Pepper & Lime.
