The range, which will be available in all Poundland stores, will include a number of favourites that used to be found in the Woolworths' Pick n Mix, such as fizzy cola bottles, shrimps and nanas, bon bons and sherbet lemons. The sweets will be available in value bags from 220g to 355g.
According to Poundland's research, most customers spend £5 a week on sweets. Customers buy sweets for long journeys while chocolates are purchased as a snack at lunchtime.
