BBC wins Sunday ratings battle in triumph for Tess of the D'Urbervilles

LONDON - ITV1 and BBC One ran each other close in the weekend ratings battle with 'X-Factor' attracting 9.4m on Saturday but 'Strictly Come Dancing' and Sunday's showpiece costume drama 'Tess of the D'Urbervilles' delivering for the BBC, according to unofficial overnight figures.
