Health experts call for tax on soft drinks to fight US obesity

LONDON - US public health experts have proposed a federal tax for sweetened carbonated drinks, energy drinks, sports beverages and fruit juices, including brands such as Coca Cola, Pepsi and Tropicana, in a bid to tackle the global obesity crisis.
